Strawberry Jam

Bottled jams contain a lot of preservatives and a huge amount of sugar! Literally the first ingredient in the ingredients list is sugar! Over 80% of it is sugar and 10% fruit. The rest is preservatives and flavourings. I prefer that my kids eat jams that are homemade, so I know exactly what went into them and they taste so much better. This strawberry jam was so delicious that my kids ate it with croissants all week. Because we don’t use artificial preservatives in this jam, I make them in huge batches and then freeze them. But If you can them safely as instructed they can sit on the shelf for up to a year.

Change up the fruit and use whatever you want. Mix the fruit up and make something like a mixed berry jam, stone fruit jam or even a mixed fruit jam! Nothing better than homemade jam. This strawberry jam is a special recipe that has everyone requesting the recipe.
