I’m always wishing that strawberry season will begin. All year round I will think of recipes and instructions, just preparing for the season to begin and I can make a whole lot of strawberry recipes. Once I have gotten a couple kilos of strawberries then it’s all strawberry recipes until I am all berried out.
This recipe is quick and easy, takes minutes to come together and is fantastic for all chocolate lovers. Strawberries and chocolate, what could possibly go wrong??
Preparation Time 10 minutes
Chill Time 3 hours
Serves 6-8
Ingredients
3 cups Oreos- crushed
3/4 cup butter- melted
1 cup heavy cream
2 cup chocolate chips
1 cup strawberries- halved
Instructions
Make the crust: combine the Oreos and butter. Mix well and the base will resemble wet sand. Press into a 9 inch tart pan. Freeze for 10 minutes or chill for 30 minutes.
Combine the cream and chocolate chips in a bowl. Heat in the microwave at 30 second bursts until smooth.
Pour into the tart base and level it out with an offset spatula.
Gently place the strawberries onto the ganache. Don’t push down too hard. Chill the tart for 3 hours until set.
