There are times when you feel that sudden urge for some fudge brownies but don’t want to stand around for ages, melting the chocolate and mixing it and all that. Adding extra toppings to make it 1000 times better. So instead what I do is head over to the kitchen, take out that boxed brownie mix and make my life a dream. But let’s face it, just fudge brownies on their own aren’t all that magical. This time I decided to go all out and fill them with amazing textures and flavours.
Preparation Time 10 minutes
Bake Time 35-40 minutes
Yields 9 pieces
Ingredients
1 box of fudge brownie mix
1 cup crushed rich tea biscuits
1/2 cup broken rich tea biscuits
200 grams marshmallows
75 grams chocolate- cut into chunks
1/4 cup butter- melted
2 eggs
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup canola oil
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180c. Line an 8 inch square pan with foil. Set it aside.
Combine the crushed rich tea biscuits with the melted butter and mix well. The mixture will resemble wet sand.
Press the mixture into the bottom of the pan and press it into the base to form a crust. Bake at 180c for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and set it aside.
Prepare the boxed brownie mix as instructed on the box. Pour the brownie batter over the top of the crust.
Bake the brownie batter for 35 minutes. Remove from the oven and while its still warm, top with the marshmallows. Make sure the surface of the brownies are completely covered. Top with the biscuits and the chocolate chunks.
Broil the brownies for 2-3 minutes until lovely and golden. Wait 5-10 minutes before cutting and serving.
