As I was looking through the search results for my last video, I came across the fact that so many people were searching for the same recipe, but made with custard too. So I decided to get back in the kitchen and work on another recipe, that included custard in the dessert. It was so easy to make and tasted amazing! Really refreshing, which is perfect for this insane summer heat!

Serves 6
Ingredients
1/2 cup tapioca pearls
3 packs of jelly set with 3/4 of the normal amount of water needed- red, green and yellow
4 tablespoons custard powder
4 tablespoons sugar
400ml milk
300 grams fruit cocktail- drained
Instructions
Boil the tapioca pearls as shown in the video. Wash them in cold water until no longer sticky. Set them aside.
Prepare the custard: Combine the custard powder with 50 ml milk. M/ix well until smooth. Bring the rest of the 350ml milk to a simmer in a pan. Add the 4 tablespoons sugar and mix well. Add the custard mixture and mix well until it begins to thicken. Do not thicken it too much. Remove it from the stove and apply a layer of clingfilm to the surface of the custard so a skin doesn’t form on the top of the custard. Chill until completely cold.
Combine the fruit cocktail, tapioca and jellies in a large bowl. Mix well.
Add the custard and mix well. Pour into bowls and serve.
