During the summer months no one wants to stand in the kitchen making insane and amazing desserts. But we all want dessert though, right? So the next best thing is to find dessert recipes that don’t need to be baked at all!
I have some more amazing no bake recipes here:
I love how quick and easy these recipes are. They don’t require much time and only a handful of ingredients. Doesn’t get better than that, right?
Preparation Time 15 minutes
Chill Time 2-3 hours
Serves 8
Ingredients
2 cups milk
4 tablespoons custard powder
4 tablespoons sugar
1 cup whipping cream
For the biscuits base
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
graham crackers
100 grams chocolate chips
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoons butter
Instructions
Heat the milk and sugar in a pan until it simmers. Remove 2 tablespoons milk with the pan and mix it in with custard powder, until smooth.
Whisk the custard mixture into the milk and cook it on a low heat until it thickens. Remove it from the heat and pour it into a bowl. Cover the surface with cling film and chill in the fridge until cold.
Beat the whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
Fold the custard into the whipped cream.
Assemble the dessert. Mix the vanilla and milk together. Dip the biscuits into the milk then layer into the base of a 8x8 inch pyrex dish. Pour half of the vanilla mixture over the cookies.
Add another layer of the biscuits. Top with the remaining custard mixture.
Smoothen over with an offset spatula. Chill in the fridge.
In the meantime, make the ganache. Heat the cream and chocolate in the microwave at 15 second bursts until smooth. Add the butter and mix it in until smooth.
Pour the ganache over the custard and chill in the fridge until ready to serve.
