I entertain a lot of guests, and I am always looking for something new to serve them. These Honey Chicken Skewers were such a huge hit that all the leftovers are taken home by the guests (if there is anything left!)
Serve with some fried rice or an asian slaw. You will love it!
Preparation Time 10 minutes
Marination Time 2 hours- overnight
Cook Time 15 minutes
Ingredients
2 large/ 3 medium chicken breasts- cut into cubes
1 tablespoon oil
2 cloves garlic- minced
1 teaspoon ginger paste
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons honey
1 onion- in chunks
1 green pepper- in chunks
Sesame seeds- to garnish
Green onion- sliced- to garnish
Instructions
Combine the chicken, oil, ginger paste, minced garlic, soy sauce and honey.
Cover and allow to marinate for 2 hours, or better yet, overnight.
When you are ready to cook, soak some skewers in water. This prevents them from burning when we cook the chicken.
Thread the chicken, onions and green peppers alternatively onto the skewers.
Set them aside for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan, add the chicken and cook the chicken skewers on both sides for 5-6 minutes. The edges will be golden and delicious.
Sprinkle over the sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
