Garlic bread is the best! It’s the one thing I know my little one will eat when he’s going through one of his phases. And apparently the more garlic the better. He hopes to scare the vampires away with his stinky garlic breath! This cheese and garlic pull apart bread is a great combination of garlic bread and cheese bread.
Preparation Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes
Serves 4-6
Ingredients
1 loaf of crusty uncut bread
1 cup mozzarella cheese- shredded
Garlic butter
100 grams/ 1/2 cup butter- softened
3/4 teaspoon salt
3-4 cloves of garlic- minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley- chopped
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180c.
Combine the ingredients for the garlic butter. Mix well and set it aside.
Cut the loaf of bread in a cross hatch pattern, making sure you only cut down 1 inch/ 2 cm. Do not cut all the way through. Pry open the cracks and brush the garlic butter between the cuts. Leave 2 tablespoons of the garlic butter aside for later.
Stuff the cheese between the cracks. Brush the remaining garlic butter over the top of the loaf of bread.
Wrap the loaf in foil and bake at 180c for 20 minutes. Unwrap the bread and then bake for a further 5 minutes. Serve with marinara sauce!
