Christmas is coming, which means lots and lots of cookies. I love the smell of baking in the morning. The kids were running circles around me waiting for these cookies to cool before they attacked them. These cookies are so easy to make and so rich and yummy. They are definitely a keeper for next year.
Preparation Time 10 minutes

Bake Time 10 minutes
Yields 1 dozen large cookies
Ingredients
1 cup flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup/ 166 grams butter- room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg- room temperature
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 and 1/2 cups m&ms
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 170c. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Set them aside.
Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl. Mix well and set it aside.
Beat the butter and sugars together for 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy. Add the egg, milk and vanilla. Mix it in.
Fold the dry ingredients into the mixture until just combined.
Fold in 1 cup of m&ms. Chill the dough for 1 hour to 24 hours
Roll the dough into 2 tablespoon balls and place them onto the parchment lined baking sheet, 2 inches apart.
Bake at 180c for 8-9 minutes.
Remove the tray from the oven and press the remaining m&ms into the cookies.
Cool the cookies on the trays and then move them to a cooling rack.
